Solidarity Herb Walk in Holyrood Park
2 February, 2019 at 2:00 pm til 4:00 pm£6.00 – £12.00
Grass Roots Remedies co-op are excited to collaborate with body worker and community herbalist Lisa Fannen to run ‘Solidarity Herb Walks’ in Holyrood Park. These sessions are run in solidarity with projects that we feel are doing important social justice work, that we want to help spread the word of, and to raise funds for. 100% of your ticket price will go to the project.
Join us on February 2nd around the ancient festival of Imbolc, marking the very beginning of Spring as we visit some of the wonderful trees around Holyrood Park and learn about their folklore, historical, edible and medicinal uses. This walk will be raising funds for the Edinburgh chapter of Action for Trans Health, and we will talk a bit more about their work and the reasons why they are recipients of this solidarity walk on the day.
Meet at the Holyrood Park Education centre (there are toilets here). We will be outside for 2 hours and walking very slowly so remember to wrap up warm and wear appropriate footwear. Please don’t bring dogs, as we will be walking slowly it isn’t much fun for them, and we don’t know how each person feels towards them.
We aim to make our events as participatory, enjoyable and inclusive as possible, and will do our best to cater to individual needs & learning styles – please get in touch if you have any questions.
